Crackington haven and the surrounding area has a whole host of things to see and do. Here's some of the best.


A fabulous village with pretty harbour. You may be lucky and see some seals, witness the blow hole or just sit and relax in one of the lovely cafes. The cobweb pub is worth a visit.

Walk the coast path

The closest place to get on the coast path is Crackington Haven beach, where you can turn left towards Boscastle or Right toward Bude. Either way, the views are stunning.


Linked to the legend of King Arthur, Tintagel plays host to the castle and stunning new bridge that links the mainland to the island. The views are breathtaking and there are numerous weird and wonderful shops on the high street along with some great places to buy your pasty.

Golf, Pitch & Putt or Crazy Golf

Bude offers a challenging 18 holes links course which is right in the town centre, pitch & putt and crazy golf.Theres a relaxed atmosphere at the 9 hole Ivyleaf course. Bowood (near Camelford) is excellent and there are other courses within a 30 minute drives at Launceston and Trethorne.

Bude Canal

Starting at Summerleaze beach, the canal is a pretty walk which will take you all the way to the Weir cafe, where you can sit and relax by a small lake and some good food. Or you can just browse the artisan shops, hire a pedalo, go crabbing, fishing, visit Bude castle, take in the view and theres also several cafes and the Brendon arms of you fancy a pint or two.

Bude Castle

Bude Castle is located close to the canal and hosts Bude Heritage Centre, where you can find out more about Bude. Theres the limelight cafe and the castle also offers a programme of events and exhibitions throughout the year.

Bowling and softplay

The Venue in Bude has a 10 lane bowling alley and large softplay area. Perfect if the weather takes a turn for the worse. Theres also a cafe and amusements.

Bude Segway

Located at wooda campsite near Bude, you can choose from 3 levels of Segwaying experience. Great fun for all the family.

Bude car Boot Sale

Every Sunday and Thursday from Spring to Autumn, Bude Car boot is always busy. As they say, one person's junk is another's treasure.


With 2 screens and a vintage feel, the Rebel always has the latest movies. Good for a rainy day or if you want a night out at the movies.

Trethorne Leisure Park

A great day out whatever the weather, There are animals, play areas, dodgems, a bowling alley and restaurant.

Sea pool

Bude's sea pool is semi natural and the perfect place for an outdoor saltwater swim without the waves or currents. Run by volunteers, the sea pool is free to use, but donations are always welcome, to keep the facility open and safe.

Cider Farm

Crackington Haven's very own cider farm is a short drive away. Using Cornish and West Country Vintage cider apples, its a tipple worth tasting. You can visit every day except Sundays.


A beautiful woodland walk takes you to 3 Waterfalls, giftshop and cafe. A great spot for photos.
